Kratom. How does it work in our body?
Many people suspect that kratom affects certain places in our brain and it is this process that induces euphoric states. But how does this process work in our body in practice and a little deeper? Let's focus on neurotransmitters and explore how kratom works on the human body.
We assume that everyone who regularly reads our articles already completely safely knows what kratom is including basic information about him. Therefore, in this article we will delve a little deeper into the effects of kratom. We will focus on the microscopic changes and processes that give us crushed leaves Mitragyna speciosa can cause, and which are among the main reasons why green powder is such a sought-after article. But don't worry, we will try to simplify the technical text so that all readers can understand it.
However, we will need a little imagination in our post. We will be speaking in metaphors, so sit back and enjoy the journey through this topic. Let's get straight to the point!
Kratom affects the nervous system
Initially, we will start by imagining the environment in which the whole story will take place. It will be the brain with the spinal cord and imaginary "highways", which represent a very complicated network of nerves.
Let's imagine the brain as the territory of the state, in which everything important is created and every city fulfills its role here. In one city, pleasant emotions are created, in another city, for example, our creative thoughts are created. The already mentioned highways (nerves) carry products from these cities between individual cities and throughout the body. "Cars" traveling on freeways represent neurons in this example.
But as it is in reality, often the journey on highways is not a walk in a rose garden, here and there is a convoy, sometimes the highway is completely closed and the neurons have to find another way. We call these various obstacles to overcome synapses and they serve for the actual exchange of information.
Transmission of information at synapses
We've got traffic covered, now let's focus on listening. Since the synapses are not directly connected, the neuron must "shout" from one side to the other. In this case, it is an imaginary mouth and ears that ensure the transmission of information further in the system.
These cells can speak different languages and the receptors on the other hand understand all these languages under normal conditions. So the success and effect of the neuron in this step depends on what language the neuron speaks and what message it wants to send further.
Receivers of information
In the last part of this simplified diagram, the metaphor of turning on the lights will follow. The neuron, after transmitting information and skipping the synapse, appears in a room decorated with a huge switchboard.
This switchboard reacts to the information it receives and turns certain lights on or off based on it (this is the reaction of our body to the given information). Certain molecules can not only control this switchboard, but can also prevent other molecules from adjusting the set lights.
Effects of kratom on the body
Enough of the sentimental metaphors, so let's focus again on the precisely presented facts. In the next section, we will discuss the effect of kratom (and other similar substances) on the functioning of the central nervous system (CNS).
Under normal conditions, our neurons circulate information regulating the daily functions of our lives (heart rate regulation, breathing...). When an external substance is introduced into the circulation (for example, kratom), this substance can reach the imaginary switchboard and begin to modify the body's functions in various ways. Kratom works on us in this style. It travels to the nervous system, where it affects its functioning.
If we decide to use other, significantly more invasive substances, our normal responses to the neurons' messages can completely disappear and we can even fall unconscious in extreme cases. These conditions occur, for example, when taking a high dose of hard drugs or other toxic substances. However, with kratom at the recommended dose, we don't have to worry about that, of course.
In conclusion about kratom
Kratom is not that fundamentally an invasive substance, but the psychoactive effects of the alkaloids contained in kratom are undeniable. Therefore, all users should be familiar with its effects on our body, which is what we are trying to do with this blog.
