What types of kratom do we have and which one is the strongest?
The kratom market is booming. For this reason, many companies try to make a lot of money from it by offering Mitragyna speciosa products under meaningless and mysterious names to increase their sales force. But how is it really? What types of kratom do we actually have and how do they differ from each other? What affects the strength of the effect?
In today's article, we will clarify what kinds of kratom we actually have, how the color of the strain affects its effects, or whether we should deal with the commercial names of the products. In essence, it will be such a general guide for the correct orientation in types and effects Mitragyna speciosa.
What is kratom?
Before we get into that, however, let's review the basic definition of kratom itself, for example, you have only heard about it from the media, where it is very often associated with negative effects. Kratom can be considered a folk name of Thai origin, because in reality the tropical tree from whose leaves we obtain the evergreen powder is called Mitragyna speciosa. It grows mainly in Southeast Asia and can reach a height of up to an incredible 30 meters. Kratom from Borneo, or Kalimantan, is especially famous. It has been used by local residents since ancient times for its stimulating and sedative effects.
That's basic information for an introduction. Now let's take a closer look at kratom!
What does the name kratom reveal?
If we look purely at its name, the color that is contained in this name is important for us. In addition, the name often also includes an indication of the place of occurrence or destination for a specific farm. We don't need to dwell on this fact as much, since the main difference in kratom lies mainly in its color (red, white, green and, by extension, gold).
There are some differences even in the labels themselves, but for many sellers this is just marketing, as we cannot expect significant differences between individual "farms". Maeng da contains, for example, the highest ratio of effective alkaloids, but this fact will only be used by a small percentage of already very experienced users who know the exact dosage for their needs.
Types of kratom
As we have already mentioned, we can divide kratom depending on the color of the veins of its leaves. It can be red, white or green. It is true that each person is an individual, but in most observed cases the main effects of the given colors coincide. So what can we expect from each of the colors?
Red kratom (Net) = King of relaxation
If at the end of your day you are looking to calm down and get rid of the accumulated stress, there is no better choice than zlie red kratom. This is a species sought after mainly for its strong relaxing effects. It can help us with stress or pain, for example. The designation "evening strain" indicates that a high percentage of users seek the effects of red strain in the evening hours.
White kratom (White) = Well 1. among stimulants
The opposite effects compared to red can be expected for leaves with "white coloring of the veins". The so-called "morning" strain, as many users call it, ranks first when it comes to stimulating effects. Most people take this strain especially in the morning or before sports or other physical performance.
Green kratom (green) = middle way
On the imaginary line between white and red we find green kratom. Its users report many different effects. Some use it to relax, while others can perfectly recharge their energy. Some people love it for its versatility, others don't use it because it doesn't have clearly defined effects. Another option is also to mix this kratom with other colors to achieve the desired effect. If you have no experience with Mitragyna speciosa, perhaps the green powder is the most ideal choice, as its effect is relatively mild at normal doses, mainly energizing and stimulating.
Golden Kratom (Gold) = universal power
We talked about mixing different colors of powder. It is no different with gold powder, which is a mix of red and white. This combination offers us a very effective middle ground between the varieties themselves, so this species can be used in a huge variety of different situations. Its effects are similar to those of green, but their strength differs, with gold having a stronger effect.
Differences in veins
It is not quite the case that the colors of these veins are recognizable at first glance and we could thus determine the type of kratom by them. This distinction is primarily used to determine which alkaloid profile is involved. Differences in the alkaloid content are the main thing that determines the individual colors. These differences are significantly greater than in the case of commercial names (Borneo, Maeng da, Sumatra..).
Why do some strains have different colors?
After ripening, the leaves of Mitragyna speciosa are transported to a drying facility where the color changes. This process may cause the leaves to change color, but this has nothing to do with the veins, which are no longer present at this stage. Even drying itself does not affect the level of alkaloids contained, only the color itself.
The drying process
Drying can take place in two different ways: outdoors or indoors. According to the farmers, the natural heat has an effect on the shade of color of the individual trunk. This is probably why, for example, the color red is attributed to hot tropical weather.
Mixing kratom
As we have already mentioned, mixing kratom produces, for example, the described golden kratom. Manufacturers can experiment with different colors in this way, but they should always honestly state the composition of such a powder. For example, our gold powder is made from a 1:1 mix of red and white kratom.
Alkaloids: The power of kratom itself
However, the most important part of any kratom powder is undoubtedly the alkaloids. The two most important are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. These alkaloids can be found in absolutely every type of kratom, but their percentage content can vary greatly among different types, which has a major impact on the effects themselves. A trivial rule applies here – the more alkaloids, the stronger the kratom. Bottom line, alkaloids are active substances without which Mitragyna speciosa would have no effect. As, for example, alcohol-free beer does not have it.
However, each person is unique and may react differently to the same types of kratom, therefore it is not possible to determine in advance the specific reaction of a given individual. If you are going to try Mitragyna speciosa, buy only from verified sellers who guarantee the quality of their products.
