This time we will focus on the well-known group of cannabidiols, led by the famous CBD. What are cannabinoids?
Although cannabinoids are found in the cannabis plant, they are actually chemical compounds. Scientists believe that the reason for the presence of cannabinoids in cannabis is to provide protection against harmful UV rays, disease and predators. Thanks to the overview of cannabinoids, we gradually find out what other exceptional elements may be hidden in this plant.
The endocannabinoid system in the human body produces its own endocannabinoids, which are important for many bodily functions, such as sleep or the proper functioning of the immune system. However, if the production of endocannabinoids in the body is not sufficient, phytocannabinoids, which are found in the cannabis plant, may come next. They can largely balance the insufficient production of endocannabinoids in our organism.
Cannabidiols
Of course, one of the most famous representatives of all cannabinoids must not be missing in our overview of cannabinoids! Cannabidiols do not have psychoactive effects and are used for their spectacular therapeutic potential in the elimination of various health problems. The most important and at the same time the most well-known protagonist of this subgroup of cannabinoids is clearly CBD.
