What is THC-P?

The cannabinoid THC-P is a substance found in the organic form of the cannabis plant, just like CBD, HHC, or THC, and its full name is tetrahydrocannabiphorol. These substances can be further divided into two groups based on their effects, with the first category being psychoactive cannabinoids, which include THC-P. The second group consists of non-intoxicating compounds that do not have a significant impact on cognitive functions but still possess therapeutic effects. The most well-known protagonists are the aforementioned CBD, as well as cannabigerol or CBG, among others. THC-P was discovered relatively recently. It happened in 2019 when a team of Italian scientists managed to uncover this remarkable element during their research on hemp. Tetrahydrocannabiphorol is attributed with very intense effects and is often referred to as the strongest cannabinoid of all!

Effects of THC-P

If you have at least briefly considered what effects THC-P might have, you have probably concluded that it is most likely to have very similar effects to the illegal THC. Is that so? In that case, we can tell you that you are indeed correct. After all, the very name THC-P is derived from the illegal substance. However, the effects can significantly differ in that the legally sold cannabinoid is approximately 10 to 30 times stronger! It sounds very paradoxical, but it is indeed the case. In terms of its effects on the body, THC-P is described as strongly euphoric, relaxing, and in smaller doses, energizing. Additionally, THC-P is said to have a beneficial effect on reducing stress, improving sleep, and acting anti-inflammatory, just like other substances found in cannabis.

Side Effects of THC-P

Since it is a very strongly psychoactive substance, it is most logical that it must be handled with respect, as nothing is without risk, and improper handling and dosing can lead to short-term negative side effects. Reviewers most commonly describe dry mouth, red eyes, problems with coordination and concentration, less frequently increased anxiety, and in extreme cases, a bad trip. It is important to note here that THC-P can be very effective in suppressing depression, but it is simply not suitable for anxiety, as it can trigger a panic attack, especially in people suffering from anxiety disorders.
