The human body can produce cannabinoids

Cannabinoids are a group of chemical compounds found primarily in cannabis plants. Perhaps it will be news to you that they are also found in our body. Endocannabinoids are naturally produced in the human body and are part of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is found in the brain and central nervous system. Phytocannabinoids are then found in plants and synthetic cannabinoids are produced in the laboratory.

CBD can be produced synthetically

Yes, it really is. Scientists can already routinely produce synthetic CBD in a laboratory environment. Any CBD not derived from hemp or marijuana is considered synthetic. Although it is still not the most common form, the debate about its advantages and disadvantages is becoming more frequent. Many believe that a synthetically obtained product could be the future. They mainly point out that artificially produced cannabidiol will always be purer than the natural one. The extraction of pure CBD from hemp requires several steps in order to obtain it from any natural compounds of hemp and to then be able to speak of cannabidiol as pure. All these steps are not necessary if they are produced artificially.

On the contrary, opponents point out that synthetic CBD may not provide the same effects as natural CBD because it is produced and consumed in isolation from all the other compounds found in hemp. However, the researchers believe that these other compounds may play a significant role in improving the potential effectiveness. 

Discussions within synthetic CBD are of course also about price and effectiveness. Proponents of synthetic production argue that production in the laboratory can be considerably cheaper and more efficient. Especially if it is done in large quantities. Opponents argue that there is no relevant evidence for this and that by producing synthetic CBD, we are allegedly taking away all the benefits of organically grown hemp. Of course, we are supporters of natural methodology, i.e. gentle extraction from the cannabis plant.

CBD oil not only for humans but also for animals

Reviewers constantly state that CBD drops have a beneficial effect on human health. However, there are studies that prove that it can be helpful for our cats and dogs as well. Of course, be careful! It is very important that CBD oil, which you give to your pet, did not contain any THC, which can cause digestive problems or nausea in the animal.

There are tons of fun ways to use cannabidiol. When extracted from a plant, it can be used as a substance that is absorbed through the skin, taken orally through CBD oils, added to food or even used for smoking. 

According to the European Court of Justice, CBD is not a drug

In November 2020, the decision of the European Court of Justice was published, according to which CBD is not a drug. The EU Court sees no point in placing this non-intoxicating and generally well-tolerated compound on the list of drugs. This decision finally put an end to the ongoing debate about how to talk about cannabidiol. Within the EU, however, there is still no unified opinion on cannabis or kratom. Each European Union country is responsible for setting its own rules for CBD, HHC and other cannabinoids.
