Rats at the police station in New Orleans are eating marijuana!

The police headquarters in New Orleans, USA is in a desolate state. The room where the evidence is kept is full of rodents that eat everything in their path. Including bags of marijuana. The dazed rats then happily run around the police headquarters.

The dilapidated building of the police headquarters in New Orleans can bring joy to both criminals and rodents who have taken up residence in its warehouses. This fact underlines the deplorable state of the building, where elevators and air conditioning do not work. Although the local management claims that they value their employees, the working conditions do not really correspond to this.

The high pollution of the building and its surroundings provides space for unwelcome visitors who go to the warehouses to dispose of evidence materials. The last time they even enjoyed stored marijuana!

Rats down at the police station

In addition to overseeing public order, the local law enforcement officers also have to closely guard evidence that is sealed in police warehouses. Without it, proving guilt would be rather difficult. However, the considerable disorder on the streets and heavily polluted surroundings make their work considerably more difficult, as it is fertile ground for the appearance of a whole range of pests.

The most serious damage to evidence is done by rats, which have more than once attacked warehouses and even managed to gnaw their way to marijuana. The management of the local directorate has already complained about this unhappy situation several times, but unfortunately without success. New Orleans City Hall does not respond to written requests, although members of the police department regularly describe how the downed rats move around the building in confusion.

In the case described by us, so far only minor damage to the evidentiary materials has occurred. About that rodents they like marijuana, however, is evidenced by a much more serious case that took place in 2022 in India. In the province of Uttar Pradesh, rats even ran amok in three police stations, where they managed to eat a total of over 200 kilograms of cannabis!
