What is CBD wax and how is it made? There are several ways to get wax with concentrated cannabis. Its production involves extraction from the plant and subsequent transformation into a wax form. We found out the basic production procedures for you:

1. Extraction of CBD: First, cannabis flowers and leaves are extracted, and this results in a concentrated extract containing cannabidiol and other substances. The most common method is CO extraction₂, solvents (e.g. butane) or oil.

If the CO method is used₂, the gas simply evaporates from the concentrate. This results in a "cleaner" CBD wax than when extracted with butane. It happens that residues of these solvents may remain in low-quality products.

2. Purification of the extract: The extract may contain various impurities. Special techniques such as chromatography or distillation are used to achieve a pure product.

3. Converting the extract to wax: The pure extract is then heated and solidified into a wax mold. This process can be done in several ways. A method called "crystal distillation" is often used, where the extract is heated and gradually cooled, turning it into crystals of a waxy consistency.

4. Cleaning and final adjustments: The wax can be further cleaned and conditioned to achieve the desired purity and consistency.

5. Testing and quality assurance: The resulting CBD wax should undergo testing to verify its purity, CBD concentration, and the absence of unwanted substances such as heavy metals and pesticides.

CBD wax is sold under different names: Shatter, Budder and Crumble.

CBD budder is produced by air pressure and cleaning hemp at high temperatures. It has a fluffy, butter-like consistency.

CBD Crumble is produced from purified CBD oil with higher moisture and viscosity. After extraction, the oil is heated and gradually cooled, creating a crumbly, crystal-like consistency.

CBD Shatter is a brittle wax with a glassy texture that is often used for inhalation.

How to use CBD wax? Try a special tool

Want to try CBD wax? It is usually taken using the "dabbing" method, where you inhale the vapor of heated cannabis concentrate. After inhaling the steam, you exhale. A dabbing and bong device or wax vaporizer is used for this method. For one dose, you only need an amount of wax the size of a grain of rice. When you vape steam from heated wax, the substance is absorbed into the bloodstream more quickly.
