Looking for a quality hemp product? Choose oil with CBD, which is one of the most well-known cannabinoids. When you are faced with the choice of whether to try broad-spectrum or full-spectrum oil, this article will help you get the right one. What is the difference between these oils? And how does CBD affect the body and psyche?
How is broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD oil made?
Have you heard of CBD (cannabidiol)? This cannabis substance has a beneficial effect on the organism. It works with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system, which controls a number of physiological processes such as appetite, sleep, memory and mood. But beware – not all extracts are the same. While some prefer broad-spectrum oil, others prefer full-spectrum. How are they different and how are they made?
Production of broadband CBD oils is similar to the production of full-spectrum oil, but with one difference: it does not contain THC. Check out the steps:
1. Harvest and Extraction: The desired compounds are extracted from hemp. Carbon dioxide (CO2) or solvents (ethanol and butane). After extraction, the solvent is removed from the oil.
2. Refinement: While full-spectrum oil retains all cannabinoids, broad-spectrum oil eliminates THC. Various methods such as chromatography are used for this. The other cannabinoids and terpenes in the oil remain.
3. Mixing: The obtained extract is mixed with a carrier oil for dilution, which makes it better absorbed into the blood.
Full Spectrum CBD Oil: Product with THC content
Full-spectrum CBD oil contains all compounds from hemp. In addition to CBD, it also contains other cannabinoids (e.g. CBG, CBN), flavonoids, fatty acids and terpenes. It can only contain a trace amount of THC (up to 0,3%) to be considered a legal product. Why is full spectrum oil so special? Science has shown that the individual substances in cannabis work together and enhance each other's effect. We are talking about the so-called "accompanying effect."
What does full spectrum oil contain?
There is much more to cannabis than just CBD. In addition to cannabidiol, it also contains other substances that can positively affect your health. Let's look at some of them:
1. CBC (cannabichromene): It is found in small amounts in cannabis, but it has an unmistakable role: it can relieve pain and inflammation, promote relaxation, and act as an antibacterial and anti-fungal agent.
2. CBG (cannabigerol): It is the basic building block for other cannabinoids such as CBD. It relieves inflammation and pain, even after exercise.
3. CBN (cannabinol): It has mild psychoactive effects, but is only found in trace amounts in cannabis. Promotes sleep and relaxation.
4. Terpenes: They help to get the maximum benefits from cannabis. They relieve pain, have an anti-inflammatory effect and support the body's defenses.
5. Flavonoids: It acts as an antioxidant and thus protects cells from damage. They strengthen the immune system and fight inflammation.
Full spectrum CBD oil is ideal for those who:
- They are looking for the complex effect of cannabis.
- They do not test for drugs in the workplace and do not drive a car.
- They don't mind THC and its trace amounts in the body.
Broad-spectrum CBD oil: THC-free product
Broad spectrum oil contains all cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds except THC. In many ways, it is similar to a full-spectrum oil. It is thus a great choice for those who want cannabis products without psychoactive effects and are concerned about trace amounts of THC in the body.
How does broad spectrum oil work?
Cannabinoids in broad-spectrum CBD oil have an anti-inflammatory effect, relieve pain and promote psychological well-being. Users like to use it for anxiety, depression, chronic pain and to alleviate neurological disorders. Some people also report that CBD helps them sleep. It is most often dripped under the tongue, from where it is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream.
Broad spectrum CBD oil is ideal for those who:
- They are sensitive to THC.
- They must undergo workplace drug tests.
- They live in areas with strict THC regulations.
- They start with CBD and fear the effects of THC.
Bottom line: You have to try this!
We are all different. While some people are comfortable with broad-spectrum oil, others praise full-spectrum oil. Let's summarize the fundamental difference between these CBD oils:
- Full spectrum oil contains hemp extract with more than 100 cannabinoids including THC.
- Broad spectrum oil contains hemp extract with over 100 cannabinoids but no THC.
